Expedition to the Plateau, Sheepwash and the Slabs

Join local experts on a walk to visit the Plateau, a spectacular open area of chalk grassland hidden within the Undercliffs overlooking Lyme Bay. Much of the walk will be off the coast path on challenging terrain and we will see the spectacular Sheepwash and the Slabs fossil area on the way to the Plateau. We will look at chalk grassland plants and animals and search for the rare and elusive Early Gentian, one of the country’s few endemic species.

Walk Notes: Strenuous walking in remote and isolated environment. Rough terrain. Steep slopes. Walking boots essential. Bring a packed lunch and drink. You must be physically fit and able. Please declare any medical conditions when booking. Approximately 6 miles. No dogs.
